Public standard: Major initiatives are public-interest education, research, advocacy, partnership, and institution-building programs. Blue Wave is not presenting itself as a regulator, research university, veterinary provider, farm operator, conservation authority, certification body, or Indigenous rights-holder.

- Does not issue licences, quotas, inspection findings, certification, veterinary advice, or endorsements.
- Must never facilitate poaching, cruelty, or harm to protected species.
